Our Story
Custom Feed Solutions is owned and operated by Gary Snipes from Rochester, Indiana. The world of feed nutrition isn’t anything new to Gary. He grew up on his family’s Angus cattle farm and headed to college. After he graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Animal Science with a focus on Animal Nutrition and Agribusiness Management, he raised hogs and worked in sales for his family's feed mill, Snipes Mobile Feed. This led to Gary having over 43 years of hands-on experience with all aspects of the feed industry. He’s been surrounded by agriculture his entire life and has continued to stay actively involved in all facets of animal nutrition.
Our Products & Services
Here at Custom Feed Solutions it is our goal to assist you in maximizing the forages you raise by improving the quality, digestibility, and overall performance of your feed to better provide for your herd. You will find that we have a lower inclusion of grains, but we guarantee you’ll see the performance results you’re looking for on your farm. We are here to help you with every size and age of animals on your farm. Not only do we provide you with feed solutions, but we also offer nutrition recommendations, milking system diagnosis, herd health evaluations, water quality issues, and stray voltage situations. We work side by side with your herd specialist to help find working solutions for issues happening on your farm.
Custom Feed Solutions understands that you may already be working with a certain feed company and really enjoy their products. That’s great! We love to know you have already found something you like and we’re here to help you utilize those products. No matter what company or mill you choose, we can work with them.
Along with our feed recommendations we also offer you specialty products to help improve the feed you’re making yourself on the farm. Custom Feed Solutions offers you products to help fight molds and toxins in both forages, TMRs, and grains. These products are extremely beneficial in helping with the dreaded Somatic Cell Count (SCC) in dairy herds.
If you’re having problems and looking to turn things around for your herd, we can help with that. We’re here to take the stress out of your herd and make nutrition for livestock simple.
